Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes director Hideo Kojima has confirmed that The Phantom Pain had a 1980s movie filter inspired by the game's 1984 setting. However, it caused technical issues and had to be removed.

The insight came from Twitter, where Kojima cited 2013's racing movie Rush as a comparison of 1980s filters:

Would you have liked the '80s filter in there?

Meanwhile, it is claimed that you can complete Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes in just two hours if you hoof it.
