Ridiculous Fishing coming to Android, possibly "sooner than you think"
Ridiculous Fishing developer Vlambeer expects to bring its terrific mobile time waster to the Android contingent quite soon.
In a post on theVlambeer blog, the team said it has been collaborating with Zach Gage and Greg Wohlwend since March, responding to popular requests.
"The breakthrough came when we met up with the folks at Apportable, who have a framework that allows them to port the game over to Android. That port is now almost done, and the next time you see us mentioning this should be when it releases. It might be sooner than you think," the indie added.
Ridiculous Fishing is currently only available on iDevice.
Vlambeer has some other news to share for those less keen on fishing. Luftrausers is expected on Vita later than expected, probably in early 2014; it is complete and now in certification.
Meanwhile, Nuclear Throne is doing well on Steam Early Access, having attracted over 10,000 sales in its first few weeks. Vlambeer said engagement - about five hours per player, with 5% totting up over 20 hours - has exceeded its expectations.
Vlambeer, which to remind you made the best game ever, suffered setbacks recently after one half of its core team, Rami Ismail, was hospitalised for two weeks following an emergency.
