UK charts: FIFA 14 enters at top, GTA 5 slips to second
FIFA 14 has knocked GTA 5 off its throne already, entering the UK charts at number one. However, its initial sales are down so far when compared to FIFA 13's last year.
Thanks Abd Ellatif.
As predicted by many, GTA 5 entered the UK charts at top last week, and is said to have generated worldwide sales of over $1 billion in just three days.
FIFA 14 was reviewed by the press last week, and received generally positive scores, aside from a few lower figures. Here's our review round-up.
Now, score-keeper Chart-Track has suggested that FIFA 14 sales are down 24 per cent compared to FIFA 13 sales this time last year. They reckon it's because you all spent your money on GTA 5 last week though. They added that next-gen may also be to blame, stating, "consumers may be delaying this purchase until PS4/Xbox One versions are available."
GTA 5 sales - by comparison - have dropped 82 per cent since last week.
