UK developer trade bodies UKIE and TIGA consider merging

Trade bodies UKIE and TIGA are considering joining forces in the UK so that they can form a singular, more powerful voice for the industry in media and politics.

CEO of UKIE Jo Twist told Develop: "We've had a lot of members leave Tiga and join UKIE but they shouldn't have to."

UKIE Chairman Andy Payne said: "Separation means 'half our voice, half our power. It just feels like we should be one because we are a new industry."

At the moment calls for a merger seem to be mostly coming from UKIE. For now, TIGA seems a little more resolute on remaining an individual body.
