PES 2014 patch leads to online issues, Konami flags temporary solution

PES 2014 players have encountered issues with the game's day-one multiplayer patch, rendering the update void, or unable to install. Others have complained they can't get online at all. In the absence of an immediate fix, Konami has flagged up a solution posed by the community.
The issue has been discussed at length over on the PESfan forums, and the games community spokesperson Adam Bhatti has suggested players try out this temporary solution until an official fix can be issued by Konami.
