Grand Theft Auto 5 pre-load option on European PSN delayed until September 15

Grand Theft Auto 5 can now be downloaded on Sunday, September 15 in Europe on PSN, Sony and Rockstar have both stated on Twitter.

Earlier today it was noted on the European forums that pre-loading of the game will be delayed until September 16 - the day before the game releases - but that has since been changed.

Original story is as follows:

This has, of course, caused some outrage on the European forums, as pre-loading was to start today.

Customers who had pre-ordered the title through PSN would have been able to start the 17GB download today and the game would have then been activated come September 17.

Many users are worried that the PSN servers will not be able to handle the download bombardment, and that these perceived issues will keep users from acquiring their game at launch.

Pre-loading is not an option on PSN outside of Europe, and some of those who pre-ordered the game from retail cancelled their reservations in order to take advantage of the pre-download option.

Because of this, many are saying they are also unable to removed the funds for the pre-order through their PlayStation Wallet, so they can use the credit reverse to purchase a physical copy now.

There's more from users through the link.

Thanks, MCV.
