Grand Theft Auto 5 won't dispatch till September 16, says GAME

At Rockstar's request, GAME UK won't be mailing out Grand Theft Auto 5 until the day before launch.

In an email sent to customers and partially published on Videogamer, GAME said Rockstar had asked all UK online retailers to honour a September 15 dispatch date, meaning some purchases won't arrive till after GTA 5's release date of September 17 - but also that nobody gets it early.

"GTA V is released on 17th September and Rockstar, who publish it, have worked very hard to make it the biggest gaming launch ever. They have requested that no UK retailer despatch GTA V before the 16th September and GAME, along with all reputable retailers, will respect this request."

That said, GAME will be processing orders early, so apart from postal delays there should be no further wait.

Last year, ShopTo elected not to stock Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 after Activision requested no early dispatch.
