Gamescom 2013 drew 340,000 visitors, Destiny takes game of the show
This year's gamescom cemented the show's reputation as the world's largest computer and video games trade fair.
A sell-out crowd of over 340,000 attendees from 88 countries visited gamescom 2013, which was the first in the event's history to host two upcoming consoles. That's a 23% increase in attendance on last year.
There were 400 world premiers, from more than 635 exhibitors, hailing from 40 countries. 6,000 journalists attended from 61 countries, up 15% on last year.
Of 170 products submitted for the judge's consideration, 64 were selected for gamescom awards, of which Bungie's shared-worlds shooter Destiny was the big winner with "Best of gamescom", with wins in a further four categories. Dave was pretty impressed with it.
