League of Legends developer Riot Games named one of the best tech companies to work for
Business Insider and Glassdoor.com have published a list of the 25 best tech companies to work for and League of Legends developer Riot Games was the only gaming company on the list, coming in at a respectable fourth place.
To be considered, the firm had to employ over 25 staffers and the ratings handed out were based on those companies' employee reviews and ratings over the last 12 months.
CEO approval rating for Riot's Brandon Beck was 100%, and employees felt the firm values its staffers and provides them with the opportunity to learn and grow. However, it also has a high standards, which one particular employee said also meant "high turnover."
"High standards means high turnover," said the employee. "Riot's culture can leave a lot of people feeling down at times. They have a culture of comradely, but also a culture of high standards. As a result, people will get let go that you might have had a personal connection with."
Here's what two other employees has to say regarding Riot to Business Insider:
"Everyone here is immensely passionate about what they do, and if you aren't learning something every day, you must be in the wrong office. The company takes ridiculously good care of us, and tries every step of the way to make sure we're engaged culturally, intellectually and socially with the industry and each other. It's by far the best place I've ever worked."
"If you want to work on truly cutting-edge technology in gaming then this is the place to be, and its only going to get better."
The firm also boasts a bright workplace environment ad a fully stocked kitchen, apparently.
Thanks, Massively.
