Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag novel, art book and strategy guide announced
Ubisoft has planned three books to accompany Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag when the piratical adventure launches later this year.
The first is a novel, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, to be published by Penguin in the UK on November 7 and Ace in the US on November 26, with other territories to follow.
Written by series regular Oliver Bowden, the new novelisation follows the adventures of Edward Kenway as he transitions from privateer to pirate to lynchpin of the Templar-Assassin war.
Next up is an official art book, The Art of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, coming from Titan books on October 28. It will be available in a special slipcase edition limited to 500 copies, with two exclusive, signed concept art prints.
And finally, Prima and Piggyback are behind an official strategy guide, which will be available on launch day in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian. It will be put together by the development team, and features a 100% completion guide; all secrets; a story analysis; tables and statistics; and a map poster of all in-game locations.
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag is headed to PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 in late October and early November; it's also headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One whenever those consoles care to surface.
