Molyneux considering presence at Xbox unveiling, Curiosity cube contents may be revealed May 21

Peter Molyneux has said he will likely be present during the Next Xbox reveal on May 21, due to an "opportunity that's come up" for him to be involved.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Molynexu said he presence would have nothing to do with Microsoft itself, but said the reveal is an opportunity he may consider being a part of.

"I'm sworn to secrecy here. It should be really good fun, and maybe slightly contentious," he said, adding that he will not be on stage at the event.

"You won't see me on Microsoft's stage. I can categorically say, I'm the last person they will want on their stage," he said.

When asked if he was making an Xbox exclusive game, he relied in the negative, stating he prefers to be platform agnostic.

"I'm very firmly in the multi-device camp now, where it's mobile, it's PC and all formats and not kind of tying myself to one particular format," he said. "I'm sure if they came with a wheelbarrow of cash I might change that opinion. But at the moment there are no wheelbarrows parked outside."

Molyneux also said that the Curiosity experiment is coming to an end, what with 50 layers left, and that we may finally know what is inside the cube as early as May 21.

"Tim [Rance, CTO] has done an analysis of probability and that's where the probability comes out," Molyneux said. "It's just pure luck! I suppose the conjecture of there being something to do with the Xbox in the middle would be on everyone's minds.

"If I give any clues then the amazing fact that it hasn't leaked out - because I'm just such a blabber mouth - it would be such a shame if that was the case."
