THQ owes claimants a reported $200 million in royalties, debt

A list of THQ creditors have been listed as part of its Chapter 11 Section 363 proceedings earlier this week.

According to a claims register, reported by Gamasutra, some of the claims stem from pending litigation cases and royalties owed.

Some of the royalty claims include Double Fine Productions for PS Plus releases of Costume Quest and Stacking for $595,000.

Codemasters also claims it is owed $1 million for royalties on Dirt 3 and other titles and peripheral licensing fees are owed to Microsoft in the amount of $214,000 plus an additional $888,652 in financing fees.

Former executives Brian Farrell, Jason Kay and Jason Rubin have also filed claims for money owed.

Farrell filed a claim for $6.4 million owed through a "termination without cause" clause in his contract; Kay is is claiming $2.1 million for "employment obligations," and Rubin is also claiming $2.1 million for breach of contract over THQ not informing him of its financial instability when he was hired.

GamePolitics did the math, and it appears the firm owes somewhere around the $200 million mark.
