Pandora's Tower US release set for April
US publisher XSEED has answered the fervent prayers of Operation Rainfall by confirming release of the final JRPG in the Wii's holy trinity, Pandora's Tower.
XSEED has made noises about the game in the past but this is the first time it's gotten as far as nominating a launch window - April.
Along with Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story, Pandora's Tower is one of three JRPGs released late in the Wii's lifecycle, which Nintendo didn't seem keen on bringing to the west. All three titles eventually made it to Europe, but Nintendo of America seemed even more wary, leaving it mostly to third-parties to ensure release.
The Ganbarion-developed adventure concerns one Aeron, a former soldier whose fair maiden, Elena, has been cursed. Aeron must defeat 12 huge monsters to cure her. It has an interesting time mechanic, so that the longer you take to defeat the 12 masters, the more Elena's transformation has progressed by end-game, affecting the final confrontation and story.
