BioShock: Infinite definitely won't have multiplayer - Levine
BioShock: Infinite will not have a multiplayer mode, Irrational Games boss Ken Levine has confirmed.
Answering queries on Twitter, Levine issued a clear "no multi".
No multiplayer mode had ever been officially announced for Irrational's new shooter, but as multiplayer is often seen as essential to a triple-A release, and BioShock 2 featured several modes, rumours of an online component seem quite credible.
In May, whispers said BioShock: Infinite's delay out of 2012 to February 2013 was related to ongoing issues with networking for its multiplayer modes. By August, it was said that multiplayer had been shelved completely.
BioShock: infinite is expected on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
