Assassin's Creed 3, Rayman Legends to hit Wii U eShop ASAP, says Ubisoft
Nintendo's flirtation with full digital downloads seems to be turning into something of a full-on love affair, as Ubisoft joins the swelling pack of publishers pledging their support to the Wii U eShop. President Yves Guillemot has confirmed it is bringing two of its launch titles to the digital arena when it can.
Speaking with Polygon, Guillemot was asked if Ubisoft would follow suit and sell all of its full retail games digitally on the Wii U eShop.
He replied, "It's a good system. As soon as it's possible, we will do it."
Guillemot also stated that he is currently in talks with high street retailers in regards to stocking download cards for Ubisoft's Wii U titles.
"It's something we are discussing with the different retailers because we think sometimes when people go to the shop they want to get information on what game to buy and also how to play it and so on," he explained, "So the retailers are really bringing something that can help them sell the right games so they have a good experience."
Ubisoft joins Tecmo Koei and Namco Bandai as members of the fully digital fraternity.
