NBA 2K13 shoe creator syncs with NikeID for custom kicks
NBA 2K13's shoe creator can be used to design and then order your very own set of custom sneakers.
In a report on NBA 2K13's avalanche of new features, IGN revealed the sim's integration with Nike's custom shoe ordering system.
The in-game shoe creator gives players the chance to arrange materials, colours and patterns, and allows for up to 45 layers, meaning you can get quite detailed.
As well as kitting out your in-game avatar with the results, you can also submit your design to NikeID's community for others to assess, and even fork out to have them built and sent to you.
The feature also detailed NBA 2K13's virtual currency system, which allows you to purchase stat-boosting items for your avatar, but also cosmetic items like suits to wear during post-game interviews.
The sim releases on PC, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 in early October; a Wii U version is expected close to the console's launch.
