Modders can apply today for early access to CDP's REDkit
CD Projekt RED is accepting applications for early access to the REDkit, the firm's mod engine for the Witcher 2.
“We have our own vision for RPGs, they should present an exciting story and give players lots of choices that really matter," said CDP studio head Adam Badowski. "The REDkit is designed to create adventures that way – mature, non-linear and engrossing stories set in vivid worlds filled with believable characters."
The Witcher 2 toolset allows modders to create adventures as well as detailed environments alongside "complex, nonlinear quests as they tell their own Witcher story."
Starting from today, modders can apply for early access to the REDkit here before September 30.
CD Projekt RED is currently developing two triple-A RPGs: one is an as-yet unannounced game set in a dark fantasy world, and the other is the recently-announced Cyberpunk RPG.
