GTA 5 will not be shown at gamescom, say organizers

Organizers of gamescom have told CVG the GTA V footage show in its promotion video for the event was added "in error."
Gamescom project manager Tim Endres explained: "Rockstar Games is not scheduled and has never been scheduled to exhibit at Gamescom 2012," adding that the offending footage has since been removed from the video.
"We apologize for any confusion this may have caused," he added.
Earlier this month, a suspect LinkedIn profile claimed Grand Theft Auto V, Table Tennis Tournament 2 and an unknown Valve project would be shown at the show, but the news was quickly shot down by gamescom officials.
gamescom takes place August 15 – 19 in Cologne, Germany.
