Fassbender takes lead role in Assassin's Creed film
Michael Fassbender will co-produce and star in the film of Ubisoft's flagship Assassin's Creed franchise, Variety has reported. Jean-Julien Baronnet, head of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, said that Fassbender was the studio's "first choice" to don the iconic peaked hood, commenting that the Prometheus and X-Men: First Class star is "an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor."
Assassin's Creed III, the fifth title of the main franchise, launches on console at the end of October and on PC in November.
