Zynga With Friends announced, FarmVille 2 "coming soon"

During its Zynga Unleashed event today, Zynga announced a new social multiplayer platform called Zynga With Friends. The platform will include live, synchronous multiplayer which can be accessed across all platforms which support the firm's titles. It also announced its next "Ville" which is just titled The Ville.

Players and stats will be synced in real time with leaderboards updated continuously over on Zynga.com, and you can instantly find friends who are currently playing online or choose to play with strangers.

New features coming with Zynga With Friends includes:

  • A unified lobby: everything you need to play is there, including friends, games, and chats all in one place; this can accessed from any device.
  • Live social stream: 70% of players are engaged daily, with 250 million clicks a day between people who have never met before; you can also see the handles of everyone who’s ever helped you in a game before.
  • Manuel Bronstein, Zynga’s general manager, said that Zynga With Friends is a “platform for invention,” something that is “best” for all players and developers. The new social features will be rolling out “soon.”
  • User profiles: stores lifetime records and scores in all games you’ve played.

The firm also revealed at the event new partners 50 Cubes, Majesco, and Portalarium. The firm also touched upon previously announced partners Konami, Playdemic, and Rebellion.

FarmVille 2 is also apparently coming soon as well - but that's all Zynga would say on the matter.

During Zynga Unleashed, the firm also announced The Ville, which looks and sounds similar to The Sims Social. It launched tomorrow on Facebook. In it, players can customize their avatars, build houses, hangout with one another, bake yummies, hold parties, purchase furniture, clothing and accessories and more. Other players can even leave text messages for in-game pals with the ability to like and comment on each.

ChefVille was also announced and the game will allow folks to start their own restaurant. Players will be able to design the kitchens, locate ingredients, and share recipes with friends. When the restaurant opens, it will also get reviews from critics. Various food styles will be unlocked when the player builds cooking stations such as a Wok Station for Chinese food.

You can also go to a pal's restaurants to taste the virtual food and borrow recipe ingredients. Real recipes will be emailed by Zynga as a reward for mastering them in the game.

Other titles announced were: Zynga Elite Slots, Zynga Slots on mobile, and Ruby Blast for mobiles.

The firm also announced some amazing stats, such as the fact Zynga Poker has over 35 million players a month who play over 55 million hands of poker a day. Zynga Bingo, whcih launched earlier this year, has seen 368 million bingo cards played in it so far with 10 million rounds played every day - the equivalent of 66 years.
