EA - "gamescom is a pillar for our industry"
After yesterday's news that Microsoft will not attend this year's gamescom, EA has pledged its support to the event and revealed a partial line-up for the show.
In a press release put out by EA, senior vp of EA European publishing Jens Uwe Intat wrote: "The show is truly unique in its capacity to draw both industry and consumers to a showcase of the year’s hottest entertainment offerings and we’re looking forward to being there in force again in 2012."
The publisher's line-up at the show includes "new content and services" for its major franchises including FIFA 13, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Crysis 3, SimCity, and others.
Gamescom takes place in Cologne, Germany, between August 15 and August 19. EA will hold its gamescom media briefing on Tuesday August 14 at 4pm local time.
