Zampella: Respawn game announce “hopefully soon"

Respawn boss Vince Zampella has told CVG the announcement for the studio's first game, published by EA Partners, will be "hopefully soon".

The co-founder of the studio wouldn't put a timeframe as to when we'd see the announcement, though.

Zampella and fellow Respawn co-founder Jason West were in the audience at the EA press conference last night.

CEO John Riccitiello went on to congratulate the pair after its lawsuit with Activision over their dismissal from Infinity Ward in March 2010 was settled last week.

EA's involvement in the matter was settled just before last week's events.

Respawn has been teasing its first project with images over the past year. EA Labels boss Frank Gibeau last year at E3 described the game as a sci-fi shooter.
