FIFA Euro 2012 predicts Germany to take UEFA cup
Germany will win the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, according to EA Sports' simulations.
EA Sports believes Germany will defeat the Netherlands 2-1 at Olympic Stadium in Kyiv on July 1 to score the Henri Delaunay Trophy. If correct, it will be Germany's fourth championship.
In EA's simulation of the final, Van Persie finished as the tournament’s top goal scorer with five goals, but Mesut Özil destroyed the Dutch lead before Mario Gómez brought Germany in front with his fourth goal of the tournament.
EA Sports has placed bets on Germany to win all three group stage matches, beating Italy 1-0 in the semi-final. Pre-tournament favourite Spain will also apparently go down in the semis, while England will bow out in the quarters.
You may recall that EA Sports correctly predicted Chelsea would defeat Liverpool 2-1 in the 2012 FA Cup and that Spain would take the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Madden NFL has correctly predicted seven of the past nine Super Bowl champions.
EA Sports ran it simulations using the Euro expansion for FIFA 2012, available now.
