GameFly expands into mobile publishing

US rental-by-mail and lately streaming games service GameFly is moving into the digital publishing sphere with Android and iOS games.

Kotaku reports the company has announced it will both fund development of and publish independent mobile games, and has issued a call for submissions.

GameFly GameStore is expected to launch during the holiday season, and GameFly will also push release to the App Store (and presumably Google Play).

Developers cna register their interest - and who isn't interested in funding? - by emailing gamedev@gamefly.com with a pitch.
