Nintendo to cease production of Aqua Blue 3DS

Nintendo has announced that they will soon be ending production of the Aqua Blue coloured 3DS.

The demise of the Aqua Blue model was revealed on Nintendo's official Japanese website. On the 3DS hardware page the colour is listed as "scheduled to end production shortly" (近日生産終了予定).

The colour was one of two available at the system's launch. Production of the Cosmo Black, the other colour available at launch, will continue at this point in time.
