BioShock Infinite's Motorized Patriot shown off for first time
Irrational boss Ken Levine has shown off a new enemy for BioShock Infinite known as the Motorized Patriot ahead of the game's now confirmed October release.
In a G4 interview, Levine said the Patriot will be a "completely fearless" foe when players go up against him in the game.
"He doesn’t have a sense of self-preservation, so he’ll just keep coming at you and coming at you," he said.
If you're able to defeat him, you can pick up the Patriot's main gun, a Gaitling-like weapon called a pepper mill, as a trophy of sorts. And don't think you'll get it elsewhere: the gun will only be available once a Motorized Patriot has been defeated.
Levine continued: "These are enemies that are used to not just be more powerful, but to augment the abilities of the more traditional BioShock enemies. You’re going to come across them in certain areas of the game, and they’re going to provide a really unique challenge."
BioShock Infinite launches on October 16 in the US and October 19 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.
