Writer's resume points to possible Dante's Inferno sequel
A tweet from Internet sleuth Superannuation points to a resume which suggests Visceral is either working on a follow-up to Dante's Inferno or, at the very least, hired someone to write the script for it.
According to a resume posted by Joshua Ruben on his blog, who is also currently "creating a major new unannounced IP for a AAA game company", was "the sole writer for a Major Unannounced Sequel" from Visceral Games. Ruben then linked a hint to the game, which when clicked, points to the Super Bowl commercial for the original Dante's Inferno.
Both Visceral and EA have been mum regarding a possible sequel to the 2010 actioner, and when asked about the possibility last year, Visceral said a decision on the sequel was to be made by "higher ups."
Earlier in 2010, the game’s executive producer, Jonathan Knight, said there weren’t plans at the time to create a sequel, as most of the team went on to help with Dead Space 2.
Dead Space 2 has been out for some time now, and currently Visceral is working on "a bold new IP". Dante's Inferno would not fall into that category, so, it's likely the team is working on more than one thing at present.
We'll send a mail, but we honestly don't expect anyone to be too forthcoming with information.
