Gearbox signs up for new office space
Gearbox clearly feels its future is assured, signing up for a new, 61,000-square-foot office in a $60 million building in Frisco.
The Dallas Business Journal reports Gearbox is the first company to secure a lease in the new building, which is due to begin construction in2012.
Gearbox's current headquarters are in Plano, about 15 miles away, and it will up stakes to the new digs at Frisco Square in 2013.
Apparently, news of a successful developer moving in has helped secure interest in the mixed-use building.
"Gearbox is the straw stirring the drink, but we've seen a lot of interest once they have heard about it, particularly different restaurants," said Jim Leslie, managing partner of Friso Square.
The demand has kicked up dramatically."
Gearbox's curent project is Borderlands 2; its most recent release was Duke Nukem Forever.
Thanks, CVG.
