Minecraft has now sold 4 million units, according to the game's official website this morning. The event was marked by a tweet from creator Markus 'Notch' Persson, who merely tweeted: "4milyay."

Well done, Mojang massive. The full thing, two years after it initially went live in a basically bare state, releases next Friday.
