EA advice on Battlefield 3 360 code issue: get a new one

EA has made a statement regarding the ongoing issue of Xbox 360 Battlefield codes not working, saying it's "aware" of the problem.

"We are aware of the invalid code issue and we apologize for the inconvenience," said the publisher.

"Since certain retailers are affected by this issue, please check with the retailer where you purchased Battlefield 3 in order to receive a replacement code."

Battlefield 3 released in the UK and Europe last night, following a US ship earlier in the week.

The launch has been plagued with technical difficulties, ranging from overwhelmed servers to PC gamers simply not being able to play.

The Battlefield Twitter is a good place to monitor the state of EA's work on the game's servers.

EA said last night that 10 million Battlefield 3 units gave now shipped.
