Anno 2070 offers "fascinating global scenarios"

A new trailer for Anno 2070 shows off the delightfully pretty new entry in the long-running city-building strategy series, teasing a number of features.
The game's multiplayer, which supports up to eight players in co-op and versus modes, is briefly touched on, and then the various options available in online matches. It doesn't actually say at any point what these things actually are, though, just that they're "fascinating". Good-oh.
Anno 2070 is the first of the series to visit a future time period, and allows players to maintain persistence, upgradable identities which carry over to the next multiplayer match. It's due on PC on November 17 in Europe, with US dating still to be confirmed. A mac port is due in early 2012.
