Quick shots - Cities XL shows off 2012 update

The new annual update to burgeoning city building sim series Cities XL is looking pretty shiny in these new shots.
The new version of the game adds in hundreds of new unique buildings as well as a handful of entirely new maps to shape as you see fit, bringing the available pool up to over 1,000 and 60 respectively. It also adds a tutorial and support for modders.
You'll see deserts, coastlines snowscapes as well as the usual beautiful plains metropolises.
Last time we had an update regarding this year's stand alone release, it was expected in October - some of these shots date back to then, too.
