Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer to track and reward progress
A few more details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer have escaped this weekend's Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles.
That VideoGame Blog reports Modern Warfare 3 will feature a universal player card to track all aspects of your progress; it's not clear how this differs much from previous games' player identities.
A series of reward systems have been implemented, including in-game extras for having played previous Call of Duty games. Whether this requires you to link online identities or just checks your save files isn't clear, nor are the exact workings of the new Prestige Shop, which seems to sport a frequent flyer points system with a selection of rewards for regular players.
These little tidbits are just the icing on the enormous cake of information Steph delivered for us, covering the game's Strike Packages, Weapon Proficiencies progression system, Pointstreaks and more.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 releases on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November, and will come with 16 multiplayer maps on disc. Activision has 20 DLC updates planned.
