EA cleans up at gamescom 2011 Awards

EA scored highly at this year's Gamescom Awards, taking home four wins and nabbing the coveted Best of Gamescom trophy with Battlefield 3.

FIFA 12, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and the newly launched The Sims Social also won acclaim.

Sony came in second with a Best Hardware win for PlayStation Vita - unsurprisingly, as it was the only major new hardware presence - and Best Mobile Game for Uncharted: Golden Abyss.

• Best PC Game: Diablo III, Blizzard Entertainment, Activision
• Best Browser Game: The Sims Social, EA Play, Electronic Arts
• Best Family Game: Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, Double Fine, Warner Bros. Interactive
