Resistance 3's fourth 16 player map is Alice Springs
Hit the Chimera where it really hurts - Australia - in this dusty trailer.
The EU PlayStation Blog has drawn back the curtains on the next Resistance 3 multiplayer map, which sees 16 players duking it out in Alice Springs.
Australia actually figures fairly prominently in Resistance canon, having played host to Avalon One, a massive safe camp for refugees and one of the last safe places in the world after Europe's fall. Apparently it suffered civil war in 1952, and then the Chimera came, ya de ya de ya.
Luckily, central Australian weather is as unpleasant for Chimera as it is for almost everyone else not equipped with air conditioners, and Alice Springs is now a tight combat zone dotted with intimate interiors, as demoed in the trailer below.
Insomniac let slip the existence of an Australian map as early as April, but had not allowed us a look at its interpretation of the famous tourist destination until now.
Other revealed multiplayer map locations are Bogota in Colombia, Glamorgan in Wales, and Fort Lamy in the Republic of Chad. Resistance 3 drops exclusively for PlayStation 3 in early September.
