Scotland Yard arrests LulzSec frontman on Shetland Isles

According to a Scotland Yard statement, a hacker associated with LulzSec has been arrested on the Shetland Islands off the coast of Scotland.

A 19-year-old known as ‘Topiary’ was arrested in the swoop.

He was arrested under the Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act and Section 1 of the Criminal Law Act 1977 at a residential address in the Shetland Islands and is currently being transported to a police station in central London.

A search is underway at the address. The LulzSec Twitter account hasn't been updated since yesterday.

A residential address in Lincolnshire is also being searched. A 17-year-old man is being interviewed under caution at a Lincolnshire police station in connection with the inquiry. He has not been arrested.

LulzSec was responsible for a string of DDOS attacks aimed at games companies and other firms earlier this.

A previous arrest had been linked to the group, but was later confirmed as unrelated.
