Rockstar: LA Noire 360 lockups not due to game or console

Rockstar's issued a statement saying that recent lockups during LA Noire and the Xbox 360 version are not down to either the game or the hardware itself.

It said that a "very small number of Xbox 360 console owners have reported issues with the game freezing or locking up while playing."

It added that anyone who was having issues can contact either Rockstar customer support or Xbox customer support.

This follows a previous Rockstar statement in which the game was said to be causing similar issues for PS3 owners. It had originally blamed Firmware 3.61, which was released following PSN's return, for the overheating of older PS3 models whilst playing the game.

Rockstar retracted said comment in a joint statement alongside Sony yesterday.

LA Noire is out today for PS3 and 360.
