Valve not showing anything at E3 this year

Our email box just got a bit sadder a while ago when we received word from Valve that it will not be "showing any titles" at E3 this year.
Granted, the publisher wasn't listed on the recent exhibitor's list, but it didn't phase us at the time because it has been known to pop in and surprise people last minute before - Sony's E3 2010 presser is just one such example.
Anyway, the firm never said it would not be there, it just won't be showing anything. Either way, we'll be keeping our ears to the ground and our eyes on the prize just in case the firm changes its mind.
