Homefront to use THQ Pass
THQ's confirmed it'll use its THQ Pass with Kaos shooter Homefront.
The code, which combats second-hand sales of THQ games by blocking off some online aspects, will be free with every copy of the game bought at retail. Those who do buy it second-hand or get it as a rental can get a code for $10.
Homefront is only the second game to include the THQ Pass, following the release of UFC Undisputed 2010 last year.
Shack reports that the shooter's online play will still be accessable, with all the maps, but there will be a block once you reach level 5 in mutliplayer.
Users can continue to play multiplayer as much as they want without the pass, but will not be able to level up in multiplayer until they either input the code they got with the game or buy a new one.
Homefront releases on March 8 in the US and March 11 in the UK for PS3, 360 and PC.
