Dissidia 012 [duodecim]: Final Fantasy gets a world map, Laguna Loire
The latest issue of the Japanese magazine Jump has not only confirmed Laguna Loire for Dissidia 012 [duodecim]: Final Fantasy, but a world map as well.
According to the magazine, Final Fantasy VIII's Laguna, a member of the Galbadian Army, will be a temporary party member and is the father of lead character Squall. He will use a machine gun like he did in FFVIII, and "run and gun" enemies from range.
As if that's wasn't cool enough, the game is also getting a world map which looks similar to PS1-era styling in full 3D. Players will be able to run around with a party of three characters of their choice, old-school style on it as well.
No word yet on how the map plays into the story, but when UFFsite took a closer look at it, they found it's the world map from Final Fantasy I in its entirety but likely doesn't include "Final Fantasy I locations you can enter".
