Steam survey shows most PCs support DirectX 10
A study by Steam has concluded that the majority of PC rigs support a DirectX 10 video card.
This is according to a recent hardware survey via the download service that showed 56.47 percent of users have either a DirectX 10 or DirectX 11-based card with Vista or Windows 7.
Another 21.55 percent own a DirectX 10/11 supported card while still running Windows XP, which only runs DirectX 9 - sounds like us.
The survey also found that the majority of PC owners used Nvidia cards and had Intel processors, with more than one GPU being in a small minority with only 1.79 percent of systems have the set-up.
