LOTRO is three, celebrates with goodies and a subscription sale

Lord of the Rings Online has turned three, and to celebrate Turbine has some niceties in store for players.

Starting on April 21 and running through June 30 the third anniversary party gives players a Writ of Virtue, that gives you 20 percent off with the Bards of Middle-earth - they be the folks you purchase or rearrange traits with and whatnot.

Also, all nasties around the land will drop tokens that allow you to trade for anniversary gift boxes.

Who knows. One may contain a Mithril shard - one can dream ya know.

Turbine is also putting subscriptions on sale for $9.99/month should you choose a 3, 6 or 12 month plan.

Looks a like a good time to come back, or try it out for the first time. You can still get a 10 -day trial if you are new to the game.
