MS confirms April 8 release for Gears 3, new Avatar COG armour out April 20 [Update]

Original: Microsoft has just confirmed that Gears of War 3 will release on April 8, 2011, following Epic boss Cliff Bleszinski saying last night it would "probably" hit on that date.
Additionally, new Avatar COG armour is going to be available on Live Marketplace starting April 20, while North America will get the game on April 5.
The April 8 date is exactly bang on with the one rumoured by Edge last month.
In case you missed it, Epic's announced Gears of War 3, showing an initial "Ashes to Ashes" trailer on the Jimmy Fallon show in the US last night.
