Job losses confirmed at Activision UK

Activision's confirmed it is restructuring its UK arm, with job losses inevitable.

The cuts are set to be made in the company's IT and marketing departments, as well as some of its European publishing sectors.

"We are realigning our structure to better reflect our slate and the market opportunities in Europe as well as directing our resources against the largest and most profitable business segments," the publisher told GI in a statement.

"Like any successful business, Activision Publishing consistently works to align its costs with its revenues - this is on ongoing process."

This comes on the back of a report last night that claimed a corporate reshuffle was taking place at the company, with CEO of Acti-Blizz Mike Griffith taking over as VP and Thomas Lippi as COO of the firm.
