Kojima: Peace Walker is a "true MGS game"
Hideo Kojima's said that you'll be getting a "true MGS game" with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
Speaking via his newly found obsession of tweeting, the head of Kojima Productions said:
"PW is going to be released as a portable game, but it is a TRUE MGS game in the saga, not a spin-off. Of course, we have put a lot of power into the story. It should be pretty exciting. The potential of a portable game, an innovative system that changes the nature of future MGs is what makes this a game a title to look forward too."
He also said how the idea for PW's story came about.
"The idea of PW sprung from news I saw about 5 years ago," said Kojima. "At the time, the President of Costa Rica was supporting the U.S. in the war with Iraq, and a college student took legal action and won stating that the support of war "breaches the constitution" of the country."
He added: "This was a key hint for me to write a script about a 'country without an army' and 'soldiers without borders.'"
Remember, youngins: Peace Walker is for the hardcore MGS massive, while Rising will be for "teh n00bz".
A nine-minute video of the game also got out last week, which, truth be told, looked so f**king awesome.
Game's out in the UK in May for PSP.
Thanks, PSX.
