Sims 3 coming to consoles this Christmas

EA's confirmed the console versions of The Sims 3 will release in the Holiday season this year.

The company mentioned the game's new SKUs in its Q3 earnings call tonight, but didn't add detail.

No platforms have been confirmed, and the update is listed merely as "The Sims 3 on Console Title TBA" for both "Console" and "Handheld".

The Sims 3 launched for PC last June, shipping 3.7 million units in its first quarter.

The news comes from EA's Q3 earnings release.
